Clients & Contacts - Overview
SpecVet has developed a unique way of managing various users or entities. Our contacts table contains 4 types of entries all managed in a single location.
A contact can be:
Client
a person or organization that has been to your hospital with a pet. An example of an organization would be a shelter or rescue group
RDVM (referring veterinarian)
the RDVM can be a person or an organization. Smith Animal Hospital is an an example of a RDVM Organization where Dr. John Smith would be an example of a RDVM that is a person
Employee
a person who you create as an employee and assign various privileges and settings in SpecVet
** A contact can be a client and/or RDVM and/or Employee **
The benefit of this organization is that there is only one place to search for information and only one place to update information.
